UP SOCCSKSARGEN’s annual Christmas event, Quizmas, was held last December 21 and 22, with a theme of KASANAG: Paving Light Into the Unknown. They featured a two-day webinar with varying career talks and a university orientation along with a leadership talk from the esteemed speaker, Ms Samira Gutoc herself. The goal was to encourage and open to the youth more choices for future endeavors while also inspiring them to become young leaders.
Experts from the fields of Agriculture, Communications, Literature, and Marine Biology were able to share their experiences and what fulfillments they get from their chosen paths. The participants got to learn what they can gain in taking such careers while also knowing of what they can do as the future instigators of change for a better society.
It was the first time the event was held online, in place of the usual gathering of students from all over Soccsksargen region to take part in quiz shows, poster making, and photography contests, UP SOX organized online counterparts. Interested participants took part in the Digital Art and Photography contests held, where they could showcase their talents.
