After ‘Sailor Moon’, Twitterverse artists reimagine ‘Ghibli’ scenes in their own style

When it comes to classic anime films, who could ever forget Hayao Miyazaki’s critically acclaimed creations? From Howl’s Moving Castle to Spirited Away, the 79-year-old animator has continued to impress us with his “trademark artistry.”

That’s why when Sailor Moon received different interpretations from artists all over the world, anime fans thought of doing the same trend by redrawing their favorite Ghibli scenes. Using the hashtag #Ghibliredraw, illustrators gladly shared on Twitter their own versions—and here are some of them.

The #Ghibliredraw challenge has surely been a lot of fun for professional illustrators and Ghibli fans alike. It only goes to show that there will always be different approaches to making art, and there’s no wrong or right ways to do it.
