Would you eat a burger that looks like a virus?
A restaurant in Vietnam is serving burgers that look like the microscopic image of the virus COVID-19, and people are just all too happy to eat them.
Hoang Tung, the chef of Pizza Home takeaway shop located in downtown Hanoi, created coronavirus-themed burgers using green tea stained buns.
“We have this joke that if you are scared of something, you should eat it,” said Tung. “That’s why the coronavirus isn’t scary anymore after you eat a burger in the shape of the virus itself. That way of thinking spreads joy to others during this pandemic.”
The restaurant remains open and sells about 50 of these burgers on a daily basis, even with orders from city authorities to shut down non-essential businesses to prevent the further spread of the virus.
According to the health ministry, Vietnam has, as of recent count, 148 reported cases of COVID-19 infection, but with zero deaths.
Talk about spreading joy by spreading virus (burgers).
