According to the World Health Organization (WHO), one of the best ways to avoid getting the novel coronavirus is by washing your hands regularly using soap and water. But if you don’t have immediate access to soap and water, alcohol-based hand sanitizer is a great alternative.
Given the need for these items, it’s not surprising to see people rush to their nearest convenience stores to purchase and use these bars of soap and hand sanitizers. And recently, a woman from Vancouver, Canada, who practices the hygiene etiquette recommended by the WHO, went viral on Reddit after sharing a photo of herself holding a block of cheese–for which she mistakenly used as hand soap.
Speaking with The Irish Post, the woman named Miley explained that the incident happened when she had a “drunken late-night snack,” wherein she must’ve taken out the cheese and left it on the sink. Then, the next morning she woke up and used what she thought was “remnants of an old bar soap”. She was confused as to why the soap wasn’t foaming but ignored her initial questions about it. After a couple of days, she found out that it was actually a piece of cheddar.
As of this writing, the post gained 91% upvotes and more than 200 comments. The Reddit community can’t help but share funny cheese puns in the comment section. Here are some of their feedback:
