Aside from your favorite series or movies, wrestling is also one of the most popular forms of entertainment. Despite the display of aggression and violence, watching wrestling matches have, at some point, left us happy, disappointed, angry, and sad. And for several years, fans across the world have loved only one professional wrestling promotion and it’s the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).
Last September 20, 2019, Filipino wrestling fans flocked to Araneta Coliseum just to watch their favorite WWE Superstars in jaw-dropping fights. It has been three years since their last show in the country but the WWE LIVE MANILA didn’t fail to deliver an action-packed show headlined by WWE Champion Kofi Kingston.
Of course, the show would not be complete without the presence of other well-known professional wrestlers such as Roman Reigns, Finn Balor, Charlotte Flair, Xavier Woods, Big E, Asuka, Elias, Kevin Owens, Shinsuke Nakamura, Rusev, Bayley, Carmella, and The IIconics.
During the main event, Kofi Kingston retained the WWE World Heavyweight Champion title after winning the match against “The New” Daniel Bryan. However, it wasn’t a lucky night for Big E and Xavier Woods as they lost their WWE SmackDown Tag Team Title to Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder of The Revival.
Meanwhile, Bayley remained as the WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion after she emerged victorious in her intense fight against Charlotte Flair.
