Oftentimes, people who struggle with mental or physical illnesses are underestimated by society. They are judged by the way they act and given limitations to their capabilities. When in reality, not all of these individuals are “helpless”–in fact, many of them even possess the potential to do great things if given the opportunity. And whether that’d be in the field of arts or sciences, these individuals can shine in their respective fields in spite of their disabilities.
An example of this is 7-year-old Knight, who suffers from Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
Knight’s mother Angelica Roxas tells InqPOP!, “ADHD is a disorder that makes it difficult for a person to pay attention and control impulsive behaviors. He is also restless and almost constantly active. But through his passion for art, he is able to sit down for a while and create these wonderful designs.”
Roxas hopes that these images of Knight’s drawings will inspire other kids who are also struggling with this condition to not be afraid to freely express themselves.
