Harmony, comfort, & purpose: What lies behind Tahan Na II this August.

Everyone is going through their own personal battles in life and a lot of us have yet to overcome many of those battles. As we go on looking for solutions to the countless number of our struggles, we try to seek for comfort and relief in order to help us and motivate us to get back on track – whether it’s through family, friends, loved ones, or even through something just as simple as music.

In making music, Coeli is not just your ordinary artist. Because of her background in musical therapy, she creates music not only for entertainment and amusement purposes but for comfort and solace. She is one of the few artists who writes music about owning your strengths and weaknesses, finding comfort in loved ones, and loving yourself.

Many of her fans, who are mostly millennials, resort to listening to her angelic voice and soothing music as a source of comfort, or maybe even strength, in order to deal with the daily battles that they’re going through and to remind them that they are not alone.

This year, Coeli, with the help of Stages Sessions, will be producing a gig called “Tahan Na II” which is a repeat of the first successful “Tahan Na” gig back in July 2018. This is a night for those who are fighting their own struggles, who are feeling alone or lost and are looking for an experience that will comfort them and strengthen them – a place to remind them that everything will be alright.

Performing along with Coeli are indie-folk band Munimuni and acoustic Filipino singer/songwriter Clara Benin. “Tahan Na II” is not only a night of music but also of poetry as well as we will be joined by spoken word artist Alfonso Manalastas who writes about people and their stories that dwell vastly on perspective and nuances.

Let Coeli and the other artists be your source of comfort, strength, and hope as we invite you to join us in this celebration of resilience and empowerment through music and poetry on August 3, 2019, 9 PM at Warehouse Eight Makati.
