Valor Cup S2 kicks off battles for SEA spot, partners with Globe for in-game exclusives

Valor Cup Season 2 opened big last weekend when the country’s top 3 teams battled it out to win the Philippine representation spot in this much-awaited Arena of Valor (AOV) tournament, with the PH rep ultimately winning against the top teams from Singapore and Malaysia.

Three teams participated for the Philippine National Qualifiers last Saturday at SM Mall of Asia Atrium: Wil New Era, Clutchguild, and Bren Esports.

Fans and AOV players came to the event, where freebies and AOV exclusives were given out both to those who participated during the games and to those who availed of the promos in the different booths in the Atrium.

The matches were on Best of 3 sets, where the final two spots were excitingly held by Wil New Era and Clutchguild. The PH representation was won ultimately by Clutchguild after a very tight win to the top, with Will New Era winning the first two rounds and Clutchguild sweeping the last three.

On Sunday, the battles continued as Philippine representation Clutchguild went against the teams from Singapore and Malaysia during the Southeast Asia Regional Finals.

After several intense sets, the spot representing the Southeast Asia region was proudly won by Clutchguild.

The team shall officially be playing against top players in Los Angeles, California during the AOV World Cup. The top prize for this international competition is set at US$500,000.

Since announcing Globe Telecom’s partnership with Garena, Riot Games, and Mineski last month, more in-game exclusives and bundles have been released by the telecom giant for AOV gamers.

For those who will subscribe to GoSURF50 and up, GOTSCOMBODD70 and 90, or GoSAKTO120 and 140, customers will get an additional 2GB which can be used to access the AOV app. This additional free data may also be used on video streaming and other gaming apps.

For those who have been following Globe exclusives for AOV, the promo to win a Superman hero is still ongoing and shall be available until June 6, 2018. To receive the hero instantly, subscribe to GoSURF 999. This is also available to GoSURF50,299, or 500, where the hero may be won via raffle.

Globe Gaming continues to improve its services as it partners with more gaming companies. Its venture into eSports aims to provide gamers with more opportunities towards international competitions and easier access to fans and players.
