Teatro Tomasino produced a third production showcasing the talents of apprentices in the play entitled, “Tagay” written by Jo-Anne Quiros last February 3, 2018 with four shows: 10 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m., and 5 p.m. – watched by 650 overall audiences.
At the showcase, the apprentices were tasked to produce a stage play applying all the lessons learned from the previous production. Also, the executive board together with the alumni members and advisers held countless of workshop to boost the apprentices’ skills.
After working for almost 2 weeks, the apprentices staged “Tagay” that unfolds the story of unrefined conviction of Von, a UP student and a new member of an activist group. It has a running time of forty (40) minutes per show.
The showcase of talents of the apprentices is one of the requirements to become an official member of the oldest theatre guild in the University of Santo Tomas, Teatro Tomasino. It opens their horizon to be exposed on what theater is and how it contributes to the society.
