It’s all systems go for the Bahaghari Grand Finale Concert on September 1 at Estancia, Ortigas & Company’s upscale mall located in Capitol Commons. Capitol Commons is a 10-hectare mixed-use Ortigas development located along Meralco Avenue corner Shaw Blvd. in Ortigas Center, Pasig City.
“We are proud to present the Bahaghari Grand Finale Concert at Estancia because it is a good opportunity for Ortigas & Company to champion homegrown music and at the same time, it fulfills our vision for Capital Commons to be a community where Filipino artistry and musicality thrives,” says Arch. Renee C. Bacani, Vice President and General Manager of the Shopping Centers Division of Ortigas & Company.
The Bahaghari Concert serves as the culminating activity in the week-long Linggo ng Musikang Pilipino celebration from July 23 to 29 and was scheduled to take place July 29 but had to be postponed due to inclement weather. “It was a blessing in disguise,” offers Arch. Bacani. “August is when we celebrate Linggo ng Wika, so the concert is just in time for the week-long celebration of our national language since the whole idea behind the LMP OPM series is to take pride in Filipino music.”
Aptly billed Bahaghari: LMP 2017, the concert is a presentation of Organisasyon ng Pilipinong Mang-aawit (OPM) and National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) in partnership with Ortigas & Company. It will put into focus the many colors of the different genres of Filipino music and will feature performances by artists like Color it Red, 6Cyclemind, Banda ni Kleggy, Aikee, Hans Dimayuga, Volts Vallejo, Banna Harbera, Kaleidoscope Eyes, SUD, Never the Strangers, Davey Langit, MYMP, Ben & Ben and Quest. It is open to the public and admission is free.
The Bahaghari Grand Concert Finale promises to be a night to look forward to.
