EXO fans, or most commonly known for their fandom name as “EXO-Ls,” have no chill at all. The highly anticipated comeback of the year has finally arrived for them. Hype is a total understatement. It was clearly evident as reflected to the lead single, Ko Ko Bop’s YouTube MV views.
Watch the MV’s Korean Version here:
Here’s the MV’s Chinese Version:
Many fans all over the world have longed for its release for ages that it’s no wonder YouTube can’t take all the views in at once. Ko Ko Bop achieved 500,000 views in one hour and still gradually keeps on increasing. The fandom even aims to attain 10 million views within 24 hours. Melon and other music sites’ servers crash as well due to several fans streaming at the same time. Just as how “The War” album slays music charts, the fandom’s support was off the charts too.
“The War” is EXO’s fourth studio album containing nine tracks and sold more than 800,000 pre-order physical copies which breaks their previous record in “Ex’Act” album with 660,000 pre-orders.
EXO will be having their first comeback stage performance on Mnet’s “M!Countdown” this July 20 to promote their title track, Ko Ko Bop.
Indeed, EXO maintains its record for having another top notch album since their first album, “XOXO,” last 2013.
