The University of the Philippines Diliman is set to host its most anticipated year-end tradition as Maskipaps: The Crossover 2025 transforms the iconic Sunken Garden into a massive 12-hour music festival on December 19, 2025.
Organized by the UP Beta Epsilon Fraternity, the event runs from 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM, opening the campus grounds to the general public for a night of music, culture, and community.
“Maskipaps is more than a party; it’s a celebration of UP culture and Filipino music,” says Ric Balog, Co-Chairman of Maskipaps: The Crossover 2025.
“The overall theme, ‘The Crossover,’ is conceptualized as a platform for cultural diffusion. The event promises a unique sonic journey, blending the soulful storytelling of today’s top Original Pilipino Music (OPM) bands with the high-octane energy of Electronic Dance Music (EDM). As the night progresses, attendees will experience a seamless transition—or ‘crossover’—from live band performances into immersive DJ sets.”
A Star-Studded Lineup The festival features a powerhouse roster of the country’s most influential acts. Headlining the OPM segment are Cup of Joe, December Avenue, Sponge Cola, The Ridleys, and Over October. They are joined by rising and established favorites including Maki, Al James, HELLMERRY, shirebound, Any Name’s Okay, SUGARCANE, Angela Ken, fitterkarma, Chocolate Factory, Similar Sky, Magiliw Street, and Joshua Kim.
To cap off the night, the energy shifts to a pulse-pounding rave featuring DJ Loonyo with Rockwell PH, Cruz Control, and Micmac Ryan, with MC Gino driving crowd engagement until the early morning.
Partners and Support Maskipaps: The Crossover 2025 is presented in partnership with San Miguel Flavored Beer, San Mig Light, CinePOP, Tribal, Andok’s, DATEM Incorporated, Hotel Sogo, and Condition (Bandwell Lifestyle and Health Inc.).
