Team Papaya for the win!
Formula 1 team McLaren secured their second consecutive World Constructors’ Championship title at the Singapore Grand Prix on October 5, at the Marina Bay Street Circuit.

The historic win marks the team’s first back-to-back title since their run in 1988 and 1991. This also marked McLaren’s 10th Constructor’s title overall.
Team Principal Andrea Stella expressed his excitement for the championship early in the season, “It’s an incredible emotion. I want to share it with the team and thank them for the incredible work. Even with six races to go, which looks unbelievable!”
Additionally, CEO Zack Brown praised drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, who are both leading the driver’s championship.
“They’ve driven brilliantly all season. You can’t win the Constructors’ without two awesome racing drivers,” said Brown.
Aside from the team championship, McLaren is also aiming for the driver’s title with drivers Norris and Piastri. After 18 races, Piastri leads the standings with 336 points, followed by Norris with 314.
Despite finishing third in Singapore, Norris celebrated the team’s success despite having a challenging race.
“Of course I want to win, but to come away with another Constructors’, that’s our goal as a team so it makes up for it, makes up for everything else, and [I’m] just very proud, happy to celebrate with everyone and happy that all their work is worth it,” said Norris.
Piastri also expressed pride in the achievement, “This is one of the two objectives we set out to achieve every year, so to achieve it with this many races to go is very, very impressive. I’m just very happy for the whole team.”
With only six races left, McLaren now sets its sight on securing a double championship this season.
