Doh Kyungsoo brings ‘bliss’ back to Manila with a ‘SING ALONG!’ party

For some, bliss—the state of complete happiness—can be experienced in countless ways. In Manila, that feeling was found through the 2025 Asia Tour <DO it!> in Manila, held on August 16, 2025.

Doh Kyungsoo, widely known as D.O., made his long-awaited return to the Philippines with his first-ever solo concert tour at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. The event came less than a year after the South Korean singer and actor last graced the country during the finale of his Asia fan concert tour, Bloom, in August and September 2024.

The Manila leg of DO it! opened with spirited performances of “Do You Remember?” and “Nobody Knows It” from his recently released full album Bliss. The strong start immediately assured Dandanies and EXO-Ls that the evening would live up to its name. The atmosphere then shifted with a heartfelt performance of “Wonder,” softening the energy and signaling a setlist that promised not only lively moments but also tender emotional highs.

Kicking off the night with his opening numbers, D.O. lit up the stage before turning to the crowd with a beaming smile, greeting fans with an enthusiastic “Mabuhay, Philippines!” The singer playfully noted that the heat in the country always feels next level—even pointing out how the skies had just poured heavy rain before the show began.

For his succeeding sets, D.O. treated the crowd to a nostalgic ride, blending songs from his various albums that resonated deeply with fans—especially those who leaned on his music during the pandemic years. The energy soared when he playfully pointed out the surprising number of fanboys in the audience—something he admitted was a first for his shows. Turning the moment into a fun showdown, he sparked a cheer battle between the fanboys and fangirls, with laughter and screams echoing across the arena. In the end, D.O. sealed the moment with a heartwarming declaration: “Philippines is the best.”

During a short break from the stage, fans were treated to a lively sing-along segment, belting out some of EXO’s most beloved hits including “The First Snow,” “Don’t Go,” “Growl,” and “Love Me Right.” Just when the crowd thought it was over, D.O. made a surprise comeback mid-song—jumping in at his iconic bridge in “Love Me Right”—to join the audience in finishing the chorus.

But the surprises didn’t stop there. Keeping the energy high, he playfully asked the crowd which EXO track they wanted to hear next. The overwhelming request led to a magical moment as D.O. serenaded fans with a heartfelt performance of “Peter Pan” from the group’s XOXO album, leaving the arena buzzing with nostalgia and delight.

As the night drew to a close, D.O. kept the energy soaring with heartfelt performances of “Somebody” and “Rose,” two of his most well-loved solo tracks. For the encore, he brought fans to their feet with one last round of “SING ALONG!”—a fitting climax that captured the perfect mix of emotion and excitement, sealing an unforgettable concert experience.

D.O.’s DO it! in Manila was more than just a concert—it was a showcase of his growth as an artist and performer. With his signature vocal prowess, heartfelt delivery, and undeniable charm, he turned the night into a blissful and unforgettable experience for fans. Far from being just another stop on his Asia tour, the Manila show felt like a warm homecoming, reaffirming why D.O. continues to hold a special place in the hearts of EXO-Ls around the world.
