Saturday nights along SM Mall of Asia’s Seaside Boulevard are set to come alive with vibrant festivities and dazzling lights as the Philippine International Pyromusical Competition (PIPC) kicked off its spectacular firework displays last February 15, 2025.
PIPC is the longest-running pyrotechnic show in the Philippines, eagerly anticipated by audiences each year. Now in its twelfth year, the competition will feature eight international teams showcasing their choreographed firework displays perfectly synchronized with their music of choice.
For the show’s opening weekend, local band Lola Amour serenaded the crowd with some of their best hits like “Lola Amour” and “Fallen,” making the post-Valentine’s celebration even more special.
People flocked to the bay area as they were greeted by a breathtaking opening show from team Philippines’ Platinum Fireworks Inc. Shortly after, Team Austria’s steyrFire draped colorfully across the night sky which earned a round of applause from the audience.
On February 22, France’s Luxfactory Fireworks and China’s Polaris Fireworks Co. Ltd. are set to unveil the pyro techniques they have in store. Following suit for the show’s third weekend, February 22, will be USA’s Rozzi Fireworks and Germany’s Steffes-Ollig Feuerwerke. South Korea’s Faseecom and United Kingdom’s Pyrotex Fireworx are set to dazzle the night of March 8. To cap off the month-long celebration on March 15, Canada’s Royal Pyrotechnie’s illuminative display is worth looking forward to. But, of course, the country’s pride Platinum Fireworks Inc., will do the honors as part of the event’s closing exhibition.
With PIPC’s annual pyrotechnic displays, Filipino fans and audiences now have the perfect reason to enjoy fireworks lighting up the sky even long after the New Year celebrations are over. Spend your Saturday nights watching the “biggest and brightest show on Earth,” running until March 15.
