It may have taken Chuck Severino a few years to discover that he has a knack for art like his father, yet his works show that he is no amateur when it comes to drawing and sketching.
Chuck Severino is an architect graduate from the University of Sto. Tomas. He is also a semi-pro footballer currently playing for Superbad in the Weekend Futbol League (WFL). He is the son of the late Lino Severino, a painter known for Vanishing Scene Series. But he didn’t discover that he was into art until recently. Chuck said his father hoped some of his artistic talents would rub off on him when he was younger, but he was busy playing football.
That’s why when he finally awakened the artist inside him, he dedicated his first solo exhibit, Severino Awakens: Art Through Pen & Ink, to his late father.
His exhibit officially opened last June 26, at the second level of The Podium. It features more than thirty sketches of old buildings, fields, and iconic characters like Storm Trooper and Mazinger Z. Though he has dabbled with watercolor, pastel, and pencil in the past, he used a FIBRE-TIP PEN as his medium for this exhibit .
