Despite facing legal issues for allegedly violating the Securities Regulation Code, Rufa Mae Quinto continued to entertain social media users with her clever remarks, sparking waves of laughter online.
After an arrest order was issued in relation to the Dermacare incident, the actress turned herself into the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) last week.
Quinto has been charged with 14 counts of violating Section 8 of the Securities Regulation Code, which states that unless a company is registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), it is “prohibited to engage as a broker, salesman, or any associated person of any dealer when it comes to buying or selling securities.”
The comedian still maintained her persona and distinctive lines despite surrendering while refuting claims that she was a part of a skin firm fraud and emphasizing that she is a victim herself.
She also thanked her fans on Facebook for their encouraging comments and wrote, “Thanks for keeping me go go going mga Fress, Family, Friends, and Fans. Help help hooray.”
Many social media users were amused by Quinto’s remarks, pointing out that she is “unserious” while being accused of securities fraud.

Months before Quinto’s arrest, actress-entrepreneur Neri Naig had been arrested on similar charges for promoting the same brand, Dermcare.
