Denise Julia unveils new song teaser after controversy, sparks mixed reactions

Singer Denise Julia just dropped a teaser for a new song after her recent controversy involving photographer BJ Pascual.

In a post by the singer on X (formerly Twitter), the 24-second teaser featured the caption “#BADDIE” and lyrics about a “clout chaser draggin’” her name for “likes and views.”

“Say it’s the truth, how’d you hit delete? Said you were a friend, now you turnin’ heel? The damage is done, turned my name into profit. Hater or not, they boppin’ to my hits. When I say I’m a baddie just know it’s legit. Go talk to my lawyers if you talkin’ s—t,” Denise Julia sang.

The teaser received mixed reactions from social media users.

While some liked it, others were unhappy with the lyrics and beat.

There is no official release date for “#BADDIE” yet as of this writing.

Back in December, Pascual revealed on the Killa Kush podcast that Julia was the most stressful personality he had to work with, and that her team cancelled the photoshoot the night before.

On December 25, the singer finally spoke out by uploading a video and screenshots of their conversation on a series of Instagram stories.

Since both her and the photographer’s teams could not agree on a budget, Pascual canceled the shoot because of the differences in their production process. The photographer, on the other hand, published his own set of screenshots and stated that his team “made an effort to adjust the budget down to 371K for the one-day shoot,” which he claimed is below industry standards and omitted from Julia’s previous explanation.

In the episode, Kush also mentioned that the singer postponed her initial podcast appearance and then showed up four hours late for the new date.

Julia recently stated that she was in communication with her legal team in order to sue the renowned photographer and influencer for defamation.
