BTS member Jin unleashes rock-star persona in his new single ‘I’ll Be There’

BTS member Jin, who just concluded his military service last June, has officially released a new song, “I’ll Be There,” as a prelude to his upcoming solo album ‘Happy’, which is set for release on November 15, 2024.

The song uniquely blends traditional rockabilly with a fusion of rock and country influences. This unexpected twist showcases a different side of Jin’s talent, stepping away from his K-pop roots and exploring more conventional musical genres with a lively, upbeat flair.

This is Jin’s second collaboration with American singer-songwriter MAX, with whom he co-produced the song. Previously, the two collaborated on the song “Burn It” off MAX’s ‘Color Vision’ album from 2020.

Their continuous creative collaboration is displayed in “I’ll Be There,” where Jin’s expressive, silky vocals expertly complement the lively, lighthearted instrumentation. The rockabilly twist enhances Jin’s musical diversity by bringing a nostalgic yet contemporary feel.

In its lyrics, “I’ll Be There” offers a message of support and hope to people who are depressed or lonely. Since Jin wants to spread happiness and warmth to his admirers, his remarks are sincere.

This upbeat message is consistent with Jin’s commitment to his ARMY fan base, as he has demonstrated in previous works like “The Astronaut,” in which he referred to his followers as his “universe.”

Fans supported Jin’s new sound and praised his vocal development and the feel-good vibe it conveys.
