Thai BL Actors’ Mew Suppasit and Tul Pakorn are now engaged

In a joyful turn of events, Thai BL (Boys Love) actors Mew Suppasit Jongcheveevat and Tul Pakorn Thanasrivanitchai are engaged. Mew popped the question to Tul during the press conference for his new single on Wednesday, Oct. 24, leaving fans delighted and the entertainment world abuzz.

Both actors became well-known in the BL industry for their roles in popular television series like “Together With Me” and “Tharntype The Series.” Despite not being paired together in these programs at first, Mew and Tul gained popularity because of their unquestionable ability and charisma, which contributed to Thailand’s boom of the Yaoi (วาย) genre before and during the pandemic.

The two have a strong chemistry both on and off screen, which fueled speculations of a romance earlier this year. Fan theories were stoked by social media images of their combined travels, with many wishing that their friendship had developed into something more.

Following months of speculations, Mew and Tul shared an appearance on the well-liked YouTube series ‘My Ambulove.’ This interview was broadcast shortly after Thailand’s King Maha Vajiralongkorn signed legislation allowing same-sex marriage, which was a significant step forward for the rights of LGBTQIA+ people in the nation.

The couple finally confirmed the dating rumors during the show, revealing that they had been dating for a while even though they had known one another for more than ten years. They shared heartwarming anecdotes about their journey, from their first meeting to the moment they realized they were in love, which further endeared them to their fans and inspired hope in many.

Fans worldwide have expressed their love for the engagement by celebrating the news on social media with sentimental posts, fan art, and popular hashtags. Their engagement is not just a personal milestone, but a powerful symbol of progress and acceptance for the LGBTQIA+ community.

It inspires hope and joy, and it also brings much-needed attention to LGBTQIA+ representation in the entertainment world.

Gulf Kanawut and Max Nattapol, former on-screen partners, have also congratulated them and made pleasant remarks about their relationship on an Instagram post. Their support, along with that of other BL actors, demonstrates the unity and camaraderie within the industry, making the audience feel included and part of a larger community.

The newly engaged couple’s relationship is a significant representation of love overcoming obstacles since, to many fans, they represent bravery and genuineness.

Fans are excited to celebrate their happiness and the broader acceptability of same-sex partnerships in Thai media, and their impending wedding is already regarded as a historic occasion.
