Pole vaulter Anthony Ammirati gets an offer from an adult site after viral Olympic moment

Pole vaulter Anthony Ammirati has reportedly been offered a $250,000 (14.4 million pesos) deal from an adult website after he went viral at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Ammirati’s infamous attempt to pass 5.70 meters, in which his private part got in the way and denied him a spot in the final, drove social media into a frenzy.

The pole vaulting star now has the opportunity to transform his heartbreak into money after receiving a sizable financial offer from the pornographic website “CamSoda.”

“If it was up to me, I’d award you for what everyone else saw, your talent below the belt,” CamSoda vice president Daryn Parker told TMZ.

He further stated, “As a lover of crotch-centric activities, I’d love to offer you up to $250,000 in exchange for a 60-minute webcam show, in which you show off your goods, minus the crossbar, of course.”

The pole vaulter failed to secure a position in the pole vault final, which would have provided him a chance to win an Olympic medal at his home Games. Instead, he finished 12th place in his group.

“It’s a big disappointment,” Ammirati told the French Athletics Federation.

“I’m a bit gutted because I didn’t miss anything on the third attempt at 5.70m. What I did miss was a bit of jumping in training to fine-tune the settings. Just technical sessions.” he continued.

He admitted making sacrifices, saying he had to forego the last two competitions due to a minor adductor injury. He prioritized the race, feeling physically prepared. The conditions were ideal for him, and for the first time, he entered a competition without pressure. “As I was a total outsider, I only had one goal: to play with the public. I was almost there,” he stated.

With the weight of public opinion and the allure of substantial wealth on one hand, and the Olympic dream on the other, the pole vaulter’s next move will undoubtedly be watched closely.
