The actors from ‘Crash Landing On You’ who eventually became a real-life couple, Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin, are now selling the apartment where they stayed together as newlyweds for two years.
According to K-media reports, the penthouse is now worth ₩7 billion KRW (about PHP 298 million), which rose from its previous value of ₩2.20 billion KRW (about 93.8 million), a significant increase within four years. The couple originally bought the place for ₩4.80 billion KRW (about PHP 204 million) in 2020.
The 2,600 sq. penthouse unit at Walkerhill Podoville in the exclusive Achiul Village, Guri is an exclusive building with four floors that houses only seven residents including Korean actors Han So-Hee, Oh Yeon-seo and Korean singer Park Jin-young. The style of the building is also said to be inspired by the late Dutch painter Mondrain’s painting “Compositions”. The first floor of the residence offers wine for residents aside from the fixed renovations every two years. The top floor including the penthouse unit has its garden terrace which can only be accessed through a secret staircase.
According to the article by Tatler Asia, the 4.3 million dollar unit of the couple is “Lavishly designed with an elegant mix of marble and concrete, the contemporary penthouse is decorated with luxurious furnishings and fittings. The home also boasts many modern features, including a state-of-the-art kitchen with an extensive range of appliances,” and the floor-to-ceiling window offers the perfect view of the Seoul skyline. Aside from the massive space in the living room, the master bedroom also offers a wide space walk-in closet apart from the luxurious ensuite bathroom.
Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin dominated the Korean drama scene when the global hit drama of the two aired in 2019. After this project, the two surprised the world after the announcement of marriage in March 2022 and had a son in November of the very same year. As of now, the two are still privately living a happy life together with their firstborn.
