Rising Korean indie band Wave to Earth just held their first-ever solo show in Manila for “The First Era” tour concert last March 13, 2024, at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City.
The energy in the room is palpable, with fans visibly excited to see them perform.
The night began with an amazing instrumental intro that further amplified everyone’s excitement and smoothly transitioned into the performance of their song “Bad.”
Throughout the concert, a lot of drum and guitar shredding was involved courtesy of Daniel Kim and Dong Q. which amazed the attendees and hyped them even more.
The band felt grateful for the amount of support they received from the audience. “We also feel that it’s an honor to kinda finish the SEA tour in the Philippines,” the band’s bassist, Soonjong Cha said. He proceeded to compliment the audience by saying, “You guys have the most purest eyes in the world.”
They also said that they would want to come back here to Manila and said, “This is our last show but I promise we will come back.”
During their performance of “Surf,” they let the fans jam out with them since their concert would almost come to a close.
Just when everybody thought the concert was over, as they had announced that their performance of “Pueblo” would be the last song of the show, the band returned to the stage for an encore performance, starting with “Calla.”
The room filled with a loud chant of “seasons,” and moments later, the band began singing the song. In the middle of their performance, a flood of lights illuminated the venue as the audience turned on their phone flashlights while jamming to the song.
The night ended with the band’s performance of “Light” and took their bow.
