BarDa reveal learning new skills for new teleserye ‘Pulang Araw’ roles

Barbie Forteza and David Licauco are defying the odds as they commit themselves to their new roles in the upcoming teleserye Pulang Araw.

In an interview in the famous FastTalk with Boy Abunda, Barbie revealed that she has been learning tap dance to better portray her role as a vaudeville actress in the film, while David showcased the Nihonggo skills he learned so far for his role as a Japanese soldier.

They also talked about some of the preparation they did for the television series as a whole and individual roles.

The two were seen to give their best in every film character they portray since their first-ever successful loveteam on the high-grossing Maria Clara at Ibarra series.

Fans were quick to share their ‘kilig’ feels on X (formerly Twitter), showing support for the love team.

Titled “Pulang Araw,” the drama will tell the tale of what transpired in the Philippines during the Japanese occupation and World War 2. The story of the four childhood friends, Eduardo, and Hiroshi, and the half-sisters, Teresita and Adelina, are all interwoven in this moving and intense story. Their dreams, allegiances, and friendships are put to the test when their homeland is devastated by war and occupied by Japanese forces.

Alden Richards, Sanya Lopez, Epy Quizon, Angelu de Leon, Rochelle Pangilinan, Mikoy Morales, Aidan Veneracion, and Ashley Ortega will also star in the biggest historical action-drama this 2024.
