TESDA launches free content creation course, empowering Filipinos in the digital age

In a bid to harness the potential of the digital age and empower Filipinos to thrive in the online landscape, the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) has introduced a new course on content creation. This initiative aims to equip individuals with the skills to tap into the growing online income opportunities.

The content creation course, developed by TESDA, addresses the need for high-quality and relevant materials on various online platforms. TESDA Secretary Suharto Mangudadatu emphasized the importance of providing content creators with the tools to convey their messages and engage their audience effectively.

Recognizing the potential for online livelihood opportunities, TESDA aims to empower Filipinos to make the most of available technology, allowing them to work from the comfort of their homes. The course is part of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority’s Online Program (TOP), a web-based platform offering free Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) for Filipino workers’ technical education and skills development.

TESDA Secretary Mangudadatu urged vocational training centers to incorporate courses on content creation, using competency standards developed by TESDA in collaboration with the Kapisanan ng Social Media Broadcasters ng Pilipinas, Inc. This collaboration ensures that the courses align with industry standards and cater to the evolving demands of the online landscape.

The content creation course covers various topics, including creating concepts for social media posts, translating ideas into multimedia content, and effectively propagating content. By providing these skills, TESDA aims to unleash the creative potential of Filipinos, enabling them to produce content that resonates with their audience and contributes meaningfully to society.

With the rise of the digital era, TESDA’s content creation course is a valuable resource, empowering Filipinos to thrive in the ever-evolving online landscape and opening doors to new opportunities in digital content creation.
