Harvard University now offers more than a hundred online courses for free

Are you one of those who are eyeing to get into Harvard, one way or another? Well, this might be for you!

Harvard University announced 142 free online courses for the year 2024, where courses in business, computer science, humanities, social sciences, and programming were among the options.

The Ivy League university states that the classes will be taught solely online, usually asynchronously, to provide students with a longer time window to do their work. The courses are divided into three levels: introductory, intermediate, and advanced, where the duration ranges from one to 12 weeks.

Harvard will also provide free access to all course materials, including readings and videos produced by instructors.

Following the course completion, students can validate their certificate of completion by paying a fee ranging from P6,000 to P17,000.

Although the certificate is entirely optional, obtaining it can help anyone who wants to strengthen their professional profile since it may be an aspect of their education.

In 2012, Harvard and MIT worked together to launch a free online courses program called EdX in an effort to close the education gap and give access to higher education to those who would not otherwise be able to afford it.

Today, Harvard is among the most prestigious universities in the world, owing to its influence, wealth, and rankings.
