(G)I-DLE celebrates women’s strength and confidence in newly released ‘Super Lady’ MV

Super Lady’s music video by (G)I-DLE, released on January 29 at 6 p.m. KST, is the epitome of all that fans could have asked for.

With an empowering concept and a meaningful message, this release celebrates the return of (G)I-DLE with their second full-length album, 2.

Along with producers Pop Time, Daily, and Likey, Soyeon, the group’s leader, wrote, composed, and arranged the title track, “Super Lady.” According to CUBE ((G)I-DLE’s agency), the song is dedicated to every “Super Lady” around the world and their innate beauty and power.

In the beginning, the group makes a dramatic entry onto the wide stadium, bathed in the vibrating glow of flashing lights. With her dominating voice that soars effortlessly to touch high notes, Soyeon takes the lead, further solidifying her image as the pinnacle of a strong woman. The song’s lyrics, which highlight her determination and unbreakable spirit fueled by superpowers, radiate her unwavering confidence.

Moreover, the video showed the group positioned as queens prepared to ascend to the throne by the artwork, which speaks to a royal demeanor. Notably, the girl group draws inspiration from well-known figures such as Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland and Cruella De Vil.
