The iconic American pop singer-songwriter Melanie Martinez successfully held her ‘Portals’ tour on January 23, 2024, at the World Trade Center in Manila.
After her stops in Japan and South Korea, Martinez shared a captivating and unforgettable performance with the Filipino Crybabies (Martinez’s fans), who screamed their hearts out while wearing extravagant dark and pastel goth outfits to show their support for the singer.
Martinez delivered a breathtaking performance of her first full-length releases, “Void” and “Death,” both of which are her first original songs to debut on the Billboard Hot 100.
She also gave an all-out performance of “Tunnel Vision,” “Faerie Soirée,” “Light Shower,” “Spider Web,” “Battle of the Larynx,” “The Contortionist,” “Moon Cycle,” “Nymphology,” “Evil,” “Dollhouse,” “High School Sweethearts,” and “Soap.”
Of course, it was not just about the music and performances. The night became even more unforgettable when dancers tossed away some souvenirs during the performance.
After singing “Womb,” butterfly confetti filled the stadium, sending fans’ spirits skyrocketing. As the tour drew to a close, Martinez expressed her appreciation to the fans for a worthwhile moment shared by all of them.
The ‘Portals’ tour will make stops in other countries, ultimately concluding on the 6th of February.
The event was made possible by Live Nation.
