Red Velvet’s Joy allegedly unfollows boyfriend Crush, sparks breakup rumors

A member of the K-Pop girl group, Red Velvet, Joy, and solo artist, Crush, also face break-up rumors as the former allegedly unfollowed the latter on Instagram.

Joy’s Instagram Acc

On December 2, eagle-eyed followers of Joy noticed that the idol unfollowed his boyfriend on the social media app. It was followed by the sudden deactivation of Crush’s IG account. The rumor got stronger when Joy’s stylist also deactivated his Instagram, thus making more fans express their speculations in the issue.

Joy, real name Park Sooyoung, is one of the five members of Korean girl group, Red Velvet. Crush, real name Shin Hyo-Seob is a popular R&B and Hip Hop artist.

Joy and Crush’s first public interaction happened last May 2020 in a song titled “May Day” where they collaborated and even starred in the music video together. Social media users noted the chemistry of the two in the music video, further stating that they look good together.

A year later, the couple and their corresponding management announced their romantic relationship. In August 2023, both P Nation Management and SM Entertainment confirmed the news. “Crush and Joy started as close friends in the industry, but recently started to meet each other with good feelings,” P Nation stated.

Meanwhile, fans of the celebrities express their take on the break-up issue. Instead of being saddened by the rumor, some are actually relieved and were manifesting this to happen.

This wave of reaction comes after recent issues surrounding Crush, wherein he has received backlash from angry fans for laughing at improper jokes about Joy.

However, both singers have not yet confirmed any of these allegations as of this writing.
