SEVENTEEN wins the coveted ‘Daesang’ at The Fact Music Awards

SEVENTEEN won big as they snagged the grand prize or “Daesang” at The Fact Music Awards 2023 last October 10. The K-pop group also held an energetic encore performance which was held at the Namdong Gymnasium in Incheon South Korea.

Not only did the band’s performance cause the fans excitement, but they were also honored with the Artist of the Year or “Bonsang.”

The Fact Music Awards is organized by Fan N Star and hosted by The Fact. The prestigious award ceremony aims to recognize and celebrate the contributions of idols in popularizing K-pop music internationally and promoting Hallyu. SEVENTEEN’s “sunbaes,” BTS, has been the “Daesang” award holders for 5 consecutive years from 2018 until last year.

After the band won the “Daesang” and the “Bonsang” awards, CARATs couldn’t contain their happiness and took to social media to celebrate this achievement.

Fans eagerly waited for their performance and they did not disappoint as the members showcased their intricate and complex choreography which they are known for.

Ending their electric performance, “WE ALWAYS WIN” was written behind the big screen and then following an announcement that the group was the biggest award winner of the event.

In receiving the Daesang award, the members of SEVENTEEN were overwhelmed but called out each member of the group to deliver their individual speeches. They also thanked their fans and expressed that without them, it would not have been possible to receive the prestigious award. The group is grateful to them for encouraging them to strive for greater achievements.

They also expressed their love for their group leader, S.COUPS who said that he was moved to tears while watching the live broadcast and thanked the CARATs. He promises to recover soon as he recently had an injury. It goes without saying that fans were proud of the members and hoped to see the group receive more awards in the future.

The band as well as some of the BTS members took home five awards at The Fact Music Awards with Jimin and Kim Tae-hyung receiving the Idol Plus Popularity and Best Music (Fall) respectively.
