LOOSSEMBLE wins lawsuit against BlockBerry Creative and is granted ownership of their name, ‘LOONA’

Another win for the LOONA girls and Orbits.

On September 20, 2023, South Korean civil court ruled in favor of CTD ENM following the lawsuit filed by BlockBerry Creative, where the latter petitioned for injunctions, which included a ban on performances and activities where terms similar or equal to “LOONA,” “LOONA ASSEMBLE,” or “LOOSSEMBLE” are used.

Thankfully, the court had sided with CTD ENM and LOOSSEMBLE, promptly allowing the newly debuted girl group to conduct domestic activities following their U.S. debut schedules. The court was said to have recognized the credibility and customer appeal from the name “LOONA” following the dissolution of their contract with BlockBerry Creative, and granted the members—including ARTMS, Chuu, and Yves, the rights to their name, “LOONA”.

LOOSSEMBLE debuted on September 15, 2023, with their self-titled debut EP, and the lead single “Sensitive.” Currently, they are on their “LOOSSEMBLE the U.S. Debut Ceremony” tour.

After hearing the news of their victory against BlockBerry Creative once again, the LOOSSEMBLE girlies reacted to it by posting a TikTok by the Statue of Liberty—a.k.a. one of the epitomes of freedom.

Of course, Orbits also reacted positively to this win. At this point, BlockBerry Creative shouldn’t even be trying to pull them down anymore.

The other members of LOONA are currently undertaking their own activities—ARTMS Project’s first sub-unit, ODD EYE CIRCLE just completed their overseas activities, Hee Jin is currently gearing up for her solo album, Haseul will be holding her mini theater concert in October 2023, Chuu is also set to make her solo debut on October 18, 2023, and Yves is preparing for her activities as well.

Congratulations once again to our LOONA!
