Supermodel turned actress Lee Sung-Kyoung will be reuniting with her Filipino fans for a fan meeting titled, “2023 LEE SUNG KYOUNG ASIA FAN MEETING IN MANILA [BE CLOSER].” The event is scheduled to take place on July 8, 2023, at 5 PM at SKYDOME.
The 32-year-old star rose to popularity in 2016 after the release of “Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo,” a coming-of-age drama inspired by an Olympic gold medalist. Her titular role became a phenomenon in and out of South Korea, inspiring pop culture moments like the expressions “Swag!” and “Do you like Messi?”
In more recent years, Sung Kyoung drew attention for her leading role in “Dr. Romantic 2,” where she earned a Best Actress nod at the 2020 Asia Artist Awards. As a result, her beloved character “Cha Eun-jae” returned for the third and ongoing season of “Dr. Romantic.”
Next month, the actress will begin her Asia Tour starting in Tokyo and Taipei, and then in Manila and Seoul come July.
