YouTuber MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, is being questioned by his followers after claiming that he received an invitation to go aboard the Titanic submersible.
The submersible Titan which was operated by OceanGate was on an expedition to see the wreckage of the Titanic which sank in 1912, it disappeared two hours on the trip and was declared to have suffered a “catastrophic implosion” five days after.
Among the alleged supposed passengers of the trip is Donaldson, the YouTuber shared a screenshot of the alleged invitation he received to join the trip sent by an unnamed sender.
“I was invited earlier this month to ride the Titanic submarine, I said no. Kind of scary that I could have been on it,” he said on the tweet alongside the screenshot.

However, his followers are dubious about the authenticity of the alleged invite. They stated that the screenshot that Donaldson shared is of him inviting someone instead of being invited as it shows an outgoing message instead of an incoming one.
Soooo why is your invite messaged that you received blue? On iPhones only outgoing messages sent to other iPhones are blue. Green if it’s to android. Why would you blatantly lie about being invited. Anyone with an iPhone would realize that the message in picture was sent out. https://t.co/MvmTH4oWQL

Yeah the bubble is blue but I feel that Mr Beast out of all people would know this means he’s the sender, so I’m buying his story that it’s a screenshot. Although there’s a big chance he’s lying too. I don’t really care to be honest I’m going to forget about this in two minutes. https://t.co/6OavjhQ6n9

“Wait, why is the text receipt blue? why are you making this up?” one follower asked, to which Donaldson clarified, “My friend sent me the screenshot of when he invited me. Didn’t think to scroll up and screenshot our old texts myself.”

However, some of his followers are still not convinced of his explanation, stating that the YouTuber is just making up excuses for his blatant lie.
WHY
Why would somebody send you a screenshot of what they said to you 🤣
And then why would you post that when you’re in possession of the actual message?? 🤣
Bro just take the L, internet caught your ass red handed this time https://t.co/KgS3sbDMWY

iphone literally has a search bar for messages. you're telling us you didn't have 8 seconds to search the key words in the search bar on your own? ok https://t.co/EzQGZoTrd2

Man I love your content but you keep digging this hole and you’re going to go deeper than the actual depth of the Titanic https://t.co/TBKAW0bFlR

Donaldson is only among a handful of personalities who claimed that they were invited on the Titan submersible but declined not to go due to the risks of the expedition – including English actor Ross Kemp who was supposed to shoot a documentary on the trip but was put unto halt as the production company realized it was dangerous.
The implosion of the submersible is now being investigated by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
