The announcement follows the upcoming release of the first single on the album, “Vampire,” which will come out on June 30.
In her newsletter, Rodrigo shared that the album was made when she was 19 which she explained was “filled with lots of confusion, mistakes, awkwardness, and good old fashioned teen angst.”
She proudly shared that the album was made with producer Daniel Nigro who worked with her on her Grammy-winning debut album SOUR album in 2021 – and will mark her first musical endeavor since then in 2021.
SOUR earned her three Grammy Awards including “Best New Artist,” “Best Pop Vocal Album,” and “Best Pop Solo Performance” for her chart-topping song “drivers license,” and is the longest-running debut album in the 21st century in the Billboard 200 chart.
As such, Livies are excited about what she has to spill:

She had a purple backdrop, some nail polish, and a dream. I'm excited to see what's in store and will she top deja vu?! Is every album going to be purple? https://t.co/PJH8QD7iJH pic.twitter.com/VFIsSerLLI
