LE SSERAFIM’s new era, ‘UNFORGIVEN,’ will certainly be remembered.
On the release of the physical version of their album, ‘UNFORGIVEN,’ on May 2, it had already sold a total of 1,024,034 copies, making it the highest first-day sales by a female artist in Hanteo Chart history.
It has surpassed BLACKPINK’s album ‘BORN PINK’ with 1,011,266 copies sold on the first day, becoming the second female artist to have sold a million copies in one day.
It also became the fifth-highest overall, following popular K-Pop boy groups Seventeen, BTS, Tomorrow X Together, and Stray Kids.
The 1-year-old group has already sold 2 million copies on Hanteo Chart, including their two EPs, ‘FEARLESS’ and ‘ANTIFRAGILE,’ making them the first 2022 rookie group to achieve the milestone.
However, achieving this feat is not new for the group because their debut EP, ‘FEARLESS’, is the first debut album by a girl group to surpass 300,000 copies to be sold on Hanteo Chart.
The album also had the second-biggest debut (unfiltered streams) for a 2023 album on Spotify for a K-Pop group and also debuted at #2 in the worldwide iTunes album chart.
The lead single from the album, ‘UNFORGIVEN (feat. Nile Rodgers)’, also placed high on the Korean charts.
‘UNFORGIVEN’ is the group’s first full-length album, and their first comeback since ‘ANTIFRAGILE’ in October 2022.
The album features 13 tracks, including 6 new songs, 3 re-recordings, and 4 songs from the previous EP.
The physical album has 10 versions, “Vol.1 Dewy Sage,” “Vol.2 Dusty Amber,” “Vol.3 Bloody Rose,” five member-specific compact versions, and two Weverse Albums versions.
