Red Velvet’s Joy will sit out the Manila leg of their concert due to health reasons

Quintet K-Pop Group Red Velvet member, Joy, will be absent at the ‘Red Velvet 4th Concert: R to V’ in Manila due to a health condition.

According to an announcement by PULP Live World, the concert will go on as scheduled with the remaining 4 members performing on May 7 at MOA Arena.

On April 26, SM Entertainment released an announcement about Joy’s health condition and temporary hiatus.

In an English translation by a Korean media outlet, the company said that “Joy recently visited a hospital due to her poor health condition, and after consultation and examination, the medical staff advised that she needs treatment and rest.”

According to them, Joy will take a break from her scheduled plans for the time being and focus on her recovery.

The company then apologized to the fans and asked for their understanding, “We will do our best so that Joy can greet fans in good health again, and we will inform you as soon as Joy’s resumption of activities is decided,” they said.

The ‘Red Velvet 4th Concert: R to V’ in Manila will serve as their first solo concert in the country, and the group’s return to the Philippines after headlining for a special advocacy concert, “Be You: The World Will Adjust,” last July 2022.
