Amazon now offers free shipping to PH so prepare to start shopping for US-based items

American e-commerce titan Amazon is now offering free shipping to the Philippines. Similar to other e-commerce sites currently operating right now, Amazon allows the convenient sale of otherwise inaccessible or difficult-to-find items, but as the largest online retailer in the world, consumers can expect to see more items that local online retailers may not have.

Amazon is known for having price drops during the holiday season, but perhaps their most well-known event is their Black Friday sale that takes place in the United States around the end of November, which also heralds the beginning of the American Christmas shopping season. The price drops are so significant that it has become sort of a holiday event on its own.

Whereas before where consumers bore the entirety of high shipping fees due to international rates and other additional fees, Amazon now offers International Free Shipping to the Philippines on orders with a minimum value of USD 49 (approximately PHP 2,879.00), making Amazon a more reasonable and accessible option for anyone who’s into online shopping or are looking for US-centric items.

As a reminder, not all items qualify for the free shipping to the Philippines, so make sure to watch out for “FREE Shipping to Philippines” or “Your order qualifies for FREE Shipping” tags or labels on the items you select.

Remember to check the fine prints and other import policies as well, both of Amazon and of the Bureau of Customs in the Philippines, so you are well aware of all the fees (in and outside of Amazon’s control) that may be charged on you when you check your items out.
