WINNER to make first group comeback in July

Inner Circles waited so long for this, and now it’s finally happening.

On June 8, 2022, it had been first reported by South Korean news outlet Newsen that YG Entertainment boy group WINNER are in preparations for their first full-group comeback this July. Later that day, the group’s agency YG Entertainment confirmed this report stating that WINNER is currently filming their music video.

On June 19, 2022, WINNER posted on the group’s official Instagram a poster revealing their comeback date: July 5, 2022. YG Entertainment also shared the poster on Twitter.

The 4-piece member group’s return this July marks their first-ever release since their third studio album “Remember” in 2020 and after members Jiwoo and Hoony’s discharge from the military.

During the group’s hiatus, members Mino and Yoon embarked on their solo activities: Mino released his second solo album, “Take” with the lead single “Run Away”, appeared as judge and producer in the 10th season of “Show Me the Money”, and held his first solo concert titled “Maniac”. Yoon returned to acting after 3 years with the drama Kairos, won Best New Actor for his role in the drama at the 2020 MBC Drama Awards, joined the fourth season of Voice, debuted as a solo artist 10 years into his career with “Page” and the lead single “Iyah”, and held his first solo concert titled “Page”.

Recently, WINNER held their first full-group concert after 2 years last April 30 and May 1, 2022. The concert was both held in person at the Olympic Park Olympic Hall in Seoul and streamed online (May 1).

Known for the hit songs “Empty”, “Really Really”, “Everyday”, and “Hold”, WINNER is known in South Korea with the titles, “Trust and Listen” and “Kings of Summer”. The boy group was formed in 2013 by YG Entertainment through the survival program WIN: Who is Next and debuted on August 17, 2014.

Right now though, the members (especially Hoony @arudaum), seem to be quite active on TikTok.
