We know Winnie the Pooh as the lovable, huggable, honey-loving bear living in a tree in the Hundred Acre Woods. No one has thought of Pooh as an evil figure of any sort – except filmmaker Rhys Frake-Waterfield. He’s directing and writing an upcoming horror indie film called Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey.
There isn’t much info out there about the movie, but there is an IMDb page giving us a short tagline on the potential story of this film: “A horror retelling of the famous legend of Winnie the Pooh.” We are also provided with photos giving us a glimpse into what this ridiculous concept would look like.
In this very weird picture, we see a goofy but creepy-looking Winnie the Pooh stalking a woman in a jacuzzi. I can only assume that’s slasher Piglet right beside Pooh. Maybe they’re a killing duo of some sort.
Here’s Pooh stepping on a tied-up lady on the street while Piglet watches in the background sitting on the driver’s seat of a bad-ass car. This might be the woman from the Jacuzzi, and Pooh and Piglet have kidnapped her for an unknown reason. Why would Pooh and Piglet be out there kidnapping and killing people anyway? Well, maybe we’re asking too many questions.

There’s “GET OUT” written with blood on the glass windows. That’s definitely not a good sign in any slasher film, especially one with Winnie the Pooh in it.
Now one may ask this question: Why is Disney not suing filmmaker Rhys Frake-Waterfield for making a movie about a character they legally own? Well, as of January 2022, Disney no longer has the exclusive rights to the original Winnie-the-Pooh stories, made by A.A. Milne. The original Winnie-the-Pooh stories were published back in 1926, and it’s been 95 years since then. This means that the property is now in the public domain, and anyone can make a story out of it.
As a result, we got the craziness that is Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey. Since Pooh is now in the public domain, be prepared to see more crazy films and stories starring the yellow bear.
