Even before it hit the campus on January 17-19 2017, Thrive Fair had been one of the grandest events in Far Eastern University (FEU), following its successful launch last year through the efforts of the proponents, Melisa Gonzales, Chief Executive Officer; and Camille Uka, Corporate Secretary of The Entrepreneurship Club – FEU.

The three-day event, held at the campus grounds, was organized by The Entrepreneurship Club- FEU (E-Club) in partnership with FEU Student Central Organization (FEUCSO) as part of the university 87th founding anniversary.

With its theme “La Fiesta: Wonders and Fun”, the event featured out the fresh products of student entrepreneurs; social enterprises of charitable institutions, and the products of selected concessionaires outside the campus.

As part of E-Club and FEUCSO’s concerted efforts on making the fair close to the heart of students, Tamaraws were given the chance to stage out their unique talents and were able to enjoy and experience the set of games and gimmicks through an open stage program. This happened simultaneously while the kiosks, with various products that were up for grabs at certain prices, were visited by the students.

“We enjoyed the event until the last moment. Unlike traditional fairs, Thrive (Fair) brought out a very different experience. Beside the products that were up for grabs, gimmicks and performances were the ones we really enjoyed,” shared Twinkle Lamirez who went to the event with her friends.

With sustained vigor, E-Club continues to plan for its upcoming events. When asked what changes are yet to be seen next Thrive Fair, Camille Uka, secretary and project proponent, revealed, “Expect that our organization (E-Club) will prepare more gimmicks and programs to make the next Thrive full of fun. With its festive-like model, expect that our colorful cultures will be highlighted. More student-entrepreneurs will be given the chance to share and sell their innovative products.”

Furthermore, the organizers were able to create a vibrant environment for the concessionaires and students because of its external partners and sponsors such as Uber, Magic Flakes, Max’s Restaurant, Great Taste, Krispy Kreme, AMSPEC, Piatos, Maxx.

Thrive Fair was also sponsored by Inquirer POP, Rappler, Move.PH, WhenInManila.com and ClickTheCity.com.
