Asia’s Acoustic Sweetheart Sabrina releases I Love Acoustic 9

She sold more than 350,000 albums all over Asia, a feat only a few Filipino singers have achieved. This will continue further as Sabrina releases “I Love Acoustic 9”, the ninth volume of her successful “I Love Acoustic” series. Tagged as Asia’s Acoustic Sweetheart, her previous albums were certified multi-platinum in countries like Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines and also released in Korea and other parts of Asia.

“’I Love Acoustic 9’ is a way of telling me to continue doing what I do, and that I am doing right by the talent I’m lucky to have been blessed with. Especially now that I am made actively involved by my label, MCA Music (Universal Music Philippines), in the process of creating the album, it feels amazing! And to know that there are people out there who continuously support ‘I Love Acoustic’, it’s a glorious inspiration to me to keep pouring my heart and soul in making acoustic renditions,” Sabrina said.

For this album, Sabrina did the vocal arrangements herself making this very special.

“For “I Love Acoustic 1 to 8’, and all the albums I have done in between, my producer, Francis Guevarra, always got the best team for me – that includes a vocal arranger. Basically, a vocal arranger is the one supervising the recording of my lead vocals as well as the back-ups, which I also do myself. (Some albums get professional back-up singers to do their back-up vocals.) Basically, the vocal arranger is the one who decides if the way I sang each line is good enough or if I should do it again, and recommends a particular way of singing the song or the lines. Now, for ‘I Love Acoustic 9’, my producer entrusted me with this responsibility. Except for Hotline Bling and What Do You Mean, all the songs in this latest volume of I Love Acoustic were vocally arranged by me. I got to decide how to sing each song; how to deliver all lines; what singing technique to use; what back-up vocals to put and in what parts of the songs I put ’em…. It was an experience of a lifetime,” Sabrina said.

Sabrina again infuses her own acoustic flavor to current hits like “Closer” (The Chainsmokers),  “Secret Love Song” (Little Mix), “Don’t Wanna Know” (Maroon5), “Can’t Stop The Feeling” (Justin Timberlake), “We Don’t Talk Anymore” (Charlie Puth), “Starboy” (The Weeknd), “This Is What You Came For” (Calvin Harris feat. Rihanna), “Cold Water” (Major Lazer feat. Justin Bieber), “Let Me Love You” (DJ Snake feat. Justin Bieber), “Treat You Better” (Shawn Mendes), “Into You” (Ariana Grande), “Work” (Rihanna), “What Do You Mean” (Justin Bieber) and “Hotline Bling” (Drake).

She is thankful that her renditions reach places from Asia to countries like UK and Australia and continues to do so.

“The love and support I Love Acoustic gets from places I have never imagined to reach, make me witness firsthand the miracle that God can move mountains. I am blessed to have people listening to my songs, and to be able to touch people’s lives through my music. I am deeply humbled, and forever grateful,” Sabrina said.

“I Love Acoustic 9” would definitely be perfect music for road trip, chilling out, relaxing or if you simply want to listen to good music.

Sabrina’s “I Love Acoustic 8” is out worldwide via iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify, Deezer and VEVO. In the Philippines, it is out in CDs at Astroplus and Astrovision outlets and can be downloaded and streamed via Spinnr.
