How to make your future chats more interesting

By: Clarisse Inao

Have you ever experienced the horror of not knowing what to reply to your chat mate? And because you really don’t know what to say, you just ended up using the most unacceptable response ever: “K.”

For the longest time, people have this idea that the only thing that will save us from boring chat conversations are emojis. But someone wants to prove you wrong, people.

Being the first-ever multi-platform news organization to offer its own set of stickers for free, Inquirer Group’s mobile army is bringing over on Viber its well-known Carabao cartoon character Guyito!

Guyito Viber

The cartoon, which was first seen by Filipino readers of Philippine Daily Inquirer back in 1985 (yep, it’s now 30 years old!), started appearing as part of Inquirer’s comic strip A.Lipin by the renowned cartoonist Jesse Abrera. From being just the farmers Carabao, it got its own dialogues when it became a staple Inquirer editorial character. On November 1996, it was officially named ‘Guyito’ and became the mascot of Inquirer group. Even until now, Guyito’s character does not simply make mooing sounds, but instead expresses opinions about relevant social issues.

So in case you’re tired of your everyday, usual emojis, you may now opt to chat with your friends using the adorable Guyito sticker set! Say goodbye to boring convos with 25 different fun expressions you can use; you may ask your friend to give you a call with the ‘Call me’ sticker, express your commuting frustrations with the ‘Ang trapik!’ sticker, or share a story from Inquirer Viber Public Chat viber.com/inquirer to your friend with the ‘Anong balita?’ sticker.

Download the sticker set by tapping the menu button on the upper left corner of the Viber app and then tapping “Sticker Market.” Just look for the cute Carabao stickers among all the stickers offered. What’s more—you get to download Guyito stickers for FREE! Just find him under the Free tab. Now go and make your chat convos fun and enjoyable!
