Upcoming ‘Blue’s Clues’ movie brings all three hosts together

Is this the start of the Blue’s Clues cinematic universe?

On February 16, in addition to announcing that there will be a full-length Baby Shark film, it has also been revealed that Blue’s Clues is certainly hitting the big screen with Blue’s Big City Adventure, and all three hosts from the show’s different generations are going to be starring in the film.

A preview image from the movie was posted on Twitter with Steve Burns, Donovan Patton, Josh Dela Cruz, and an animated Blue looking astonished while roaming around the vast city.

This interesting combination draws interest from Blue’s Clues fans of all ages, deliberately comparing it to Spider-Man: No Way Home’s touching reunion.

It’s also a celebration for young adults and adults because the OG kids’ show is coming back (and will soon be in theaters).

Prior to this, on Blue’s Clues’ 25th year, the show had recently roused attention from fans when a video of Steve was posted on Twitter as he recounted how he went to college and became an adult after all those years of him being gone.

As of writing, the 2-minute video has garnered 40.2 million views and 2 million likes.

Moreover, details about the film are yet to be revealed though its release date is confirmed to be this year.

Blue’s Big City Adventure will be Blue’s Clues second film, subsequent to Blue’s Big Musical that was released in 2002.

It has been 26 years since the popular children’s show premiered in 1996 with Steve Burns as its original host. After Burns’ departure from the show, he was replaced by Donovan Patton who played the role of Steve’s brother Joe in 2002.

Blue’s Clues had its revival in 2019 with the show Blue’s Clues & You!, with Joshua Dela Cruz currently playing the role of the main host.
