‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ stars recreate the iconic Spider-Man meme

The iconic Spider-Man meme has been living off our news feeds for quite some time now, but who would have thought that we’d be getting a recreation of this meme by the Spider-Man actors themselves?

On February 23, the three generations of Peter Parkers reunite for the promotion of the digital release of Spider-Man: No Way Home. In the photo released by Sony, Marvel, and the official account for the movie, the three Spider-Man stars, Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland, can be seen posing in their respective Spidey suits while pointing at each other.

“And now, for the moment we’ve all been waiting for…” the tweet reads.

And of course, Spider-Man and Marvel fans went crazy over this unexpected meme recreation.

The origin of the meme can be traced back to the Spider-Man cartoon episode “Double Identity,” which aired in the 1960s. It features a Spider-Man clone being confronted by Peter Parker.

Spider-Man: No Way Home, the latest installment of the powerhouse franchise, has broken box office records since it was released in theaters last December.

With a worldwide gross of $1.83 billion, it became the highest-grossing film of the pandemic era and the highest-earning Spider-Man film to date.

Spider-Man: No Way Home, which stars the three Peter Parkers, premiers on digital on March 22 and on 4K UHD and Blu-ray on April 12.
