‘Uncharted’ film drops new poster of Tom Holland falling out of a plane

We really can’t get enough of watching Tom Holland do one stunt after another. A new movie poster just dropped for action-adventure film Uncharted with Holland as Nathan Drake, seemingly holding on to for dear life as he falls out of a cargo plane.

The film Uncharted is a prequel to the action-adventure video game developed by Naughty Dog in November 2007 for PlayStation 3. Tom Holland stars as young Nathan Drake alongside Mark Wahlberg, who plays Nate’s mentor Victor “Sully” Sullivan, and Antonio Banderas in an undisclosed role. Sophia Ali (Grey’s Anatomy) will also play Chloe Frazer, while Tati Gabrielle (The 100) will play as Braddock. The film will be an amalgamation of all the Uncharted games.

Unlike previous posters that focused on the cast, the latest Uncharted poster features Holland’s Nathan Drake in a spectacular stunt sequence falling out of a cargo plane, which Holland mentioned was the hardest stunt he has ever had to do.

“With Uncharted, I was shooting stunts that are far bigger than anything I’ve done before,” Holland said in the released behind-the-scenes featurette. He also explained how difficult it is to shoot the cargo drop scene, “At times, I’d be 100 feet in the air, attached to a box that is spinning and then I would hang on until it would throw me off”. Holland added that it was scary but the “level of fear” makes the scene more authentic.

Fans have taken to social media to express their hype for the upcoming film, excited to see Holland in action as Nathan Drake.

People are also looking forward to seeing Sophia Ali and Tati Gabrielle on the big screen when Uncharted premieres in theaters.

The film is action-packed, and follows Nate and Sully as the two go on a quest to find “the greatest treasure never found” with clues that may lead to Nate’s long-lost brother. Venom director Ruben Fleischer will be directing Uncharted, the adaptation that will take the audience on a treasure-hunting escapade this February 18.
