It’s official, we’ve now made it to an entire year of being in lockdown and there’s nothing we want more than for things to return to normal.
While vaccines are slowly being distributed in the country, people still need to hold out a little longer before it’s completely safe to go out in public again. The least we can do is to simulate some of those missed experiences as best as we can. Luckily enough, there are a few videos on YouTube and TikTok that can help bring you back to the good old pre-pandemic days.
POV: You’re in the bathroom at a party blasting “Dynamite” by BTS
This 28-minute compilation consists of some of the top hits from last year. Everyone had to miss out on parties in 2020, which left us wondering what the experience would’ve been like with all the bops that were released. The video adds a muffled effect over the songs to mimic what you’d probably hear if you were tipsy in the bathroom of a party. It features BTS, Dua Lipa, Lady Gaga, among other artists.
POV: It’s your first time in Disneyland
Whether you’ve been before or you’re longing to go, Disneyland is definitely a top destination for a lot of people. This video is a high-definition 1-hour long walkthrough around the amusement park. It’s taken from an eye-level perspective, allowing you to immerse yourself in the bustling crowd.
POV: You made it in time to catch the trailers before a movie screening
One thing many of us probably miss the most is going to the cinema to experience a blockbuster with an audience. This short clip will bring you back to the feeling to walking through the dim hallways of the movie theater, and finding your way to your seat.
POV: You’re singing “champagne problems” with your friends at Taylor Swift night
@bellajones13_ So last night we got to scream this 🥺 @taylornation @lozmiranda #swifttok #champagneproblems #taylorswift #evermore #perth
While most of the world is still in lockdown, a few countries like Australia and New Zealand were able to control the virus early on in 2020. A club in Perth throws themed events, with the ‘Taylor Swift night’ as their most popular party. A TikToker has documented a few of her night outs, making us wish we were there.
