What happens when you get terminated?

Due to the pandemic, the world has suffered an unprecedented challenge to public health, the economy, and employment. According to a December 2020 report by the BBC, “employers are cutting hundreds of thousands of jobs as COVID-19 continues to hit the economy”. Many economists expect unemployment to continue in 2021.

In the Philippines, unemployment reached an all-time high in April 2020, with 17.6% or 7.3 million jobless Filipinos, according to the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA).

What happens when you get terminated? What are your benefits? Are you eligible for a separation pay?

For its first special webinar for 2021, VLC – Review Center wants to empower citizens to make the best decisions for themselves. That is why it will be conducting a three-hour special online lecture entitled “Termination of Employment: Separation Pay and Other Benefits” on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at 2PM via Zoom.

Our resource speaker, Dean Cecilio D. Duka, is a Law Professor, Labor Practitioner, Author, MCLE Lecturer, Bar and LET Reviewer, and Dean of College of Education at the University of Makati.

To join the webinar, simply register at villasislawcenter.com/special-online-lecture.  Regular rate for this webinar is PHP 800, with an additional PHP 100 for E-Certificate or PHP 400 should you wish for a physical copy with delivery fee.
