After releasing the video for his hit single, “Overrated,” rising rapper and producer Blxst has debuted his highly anticipated debut EP, ‘No Love Lost’, out now on Red Bull Records.
‘No Love Lost’ is an expansive and emotive collection of music, inspired by past relationships and his hometown of Los Angeles. Paired with a four-part cinematic series of videos to bring the project’s overarching narrative to life, ‘No Love Lost’’s quintessential West Coast vibe will be the perfect soundtrack to cruise to for a long time to come.
“This EP was inspired by the challenges I face as an upcoming artist, dealing with the pressures of separation for elevation,” says Blxst of the release. “Being that music is my therapy, I wanted to get this off my chest, no love lost… no hard feelings.”
The release of the EP is paired with the visual for “No Love Lost,” the project’s title track. The second instalment in its series, the video picks up where “Overrated” left off, following Blxst from the streets to the club for a night of dancers and debauchery.
With a number of notable productions and collaborations under his belt, Blxst gained considerable notoriety for his work with Eric Bellinger, Kendrick Lamar, YG, G Perico, Kalan.FrFr and more, recently lending his skills to Mozzy’s single “I Ain’t Perfect,” as well as Bino Rideaux’s “Brand New.”
