One brewing company has designed its beer cans with friendly faces—those of some lovable dogs up for adoption.
Fargo Brewing Company, based in North Dakota, USA, featured dogs from 4 Luv of Dog Rescue, which supports foster homes and facilities caring temporarily for dogs, KVRR reported on Nov. 1.
Finding homes for the selected dogs has posed a challenge because they are best in a home on their own, explained 4 Luv of Dog volunteer Jerad Ryan in the report.
“Our one-der dogs are dogs that will live their best life in a home by themselves and there’s no other pets. So, they can be a little bit tougher to find homes for, foster homes, that type of thing,” he said.
The dogs for adoption include Virginia, a 6-year-old Pitbull Terrier mix, and Nyx, an 8-year-old Jack Russell terrier. Their profiles state that they do not like children and other dogs, but are sweet to the humans they are with.
Virginia has allergies from staying at a shelter. She was described by a volunteer on the organization’s website as “sweet,” behaved and loves car rides.
While Nyx also has allergies and needs medication for her anxiety, her foster home states that she loves to cuddle during bedtime and can do several tricks. She even knows how to give a “reminder” for her meds.
The brewery hosted a meet and greet with the dogs on Monday, Nov. 4, so customers could get to know more about them. Niña V. Guno /ra
