According to YG Entertainment, Blank Pink’s official YouTube channel has surpassed 44 million subscribers last August, surpassing Eminem’s 43.9 Million subscribers. Now the group ranks fourth after Justin Bieber, DJ Marshmello, and Ed Sheeran. The group also surpassed Ariana Grande as the most subscribed female artist on the platform.
This is the most remarkable record that any k-pop artist has ever established, making them one of the most unrivaled female music artists on YouTube.
This isn’t the first time Blackpink has broken records on Youtube. They were also able to break the record for “Most Viewed Music Video on YouTube in 24 Hours”, where they had a record of 86.3 Million Views, one day after its release.
The group also gained the title “Most viewers for the premiere of a YouTube video” and “Most viewers for the premiere of a music video” during their premiere on YouTube which gathered 1.6 Million viewers.
In the few years that they’ve been in the entertainment industry, Blackpink has proven that they’re not your typical k-pop group. They present a new generation of girl groups that emphasizes their unique style and identity, making them stand out from the rest.
